Today, I’d like to express my gratitude to my parents for moving us into a house with no air conditioner when I was seven years old. Thanks to you, I am both capable of falling asleep to the sound of loud fans and in absurd heat. Without this foresight on your part, the next two and a half months of my life would be far less restful. My deepest thanks.
This picture has nothing to do with our stifling house, but is unquestionably a great picture of our family, so will be used anyway.
